Collings 360 LT M

Warm White on Ash

The Collings 360 LT M uses the offset body shape. The M refers to Mastery, makers of cutting edge hardware components for offset-style guitars. Collings has paired their remarkable offset bridge and vibrato with a solid ash body and a maple neck to gain a further tonal foothold in the offset guitar sonic pallet.

While firmly grounded in the iconic sounds of the offset guitar world, the 360 LT M integrates a set neck and short scale length into the formula, delivering a resonance and feel that is distinctly Collings. It comes as no surprise to us that our longtime partners-in-tone, Lollar Pickups, offers a pickup that perfectly compliments the response and range of the 360 LT M. Their custom alnico pole piece soapbar P90s provide the husky tone we had envisioned, but with the perfect amount of punch and clarity to enhance its vast stylistic abilities

Collings CJ

Sunburst Sitka Spruce

Collings Jumbo, or CJ, is Collings version of the classic slope-shouldered dreadnought, a shape that has enjoyed renewed popularity in recent years. While the CJ is similar in width and depth to the traditional dreadnought, it has a distinctly different tone. Despite its large size this model works well with the optional shorter string scale, resulting in a somewhat percussive bottom end ideal for acoustic blues or other styles that benefit from a more controlled bass response. Of all the Collings body shapes, this is the one most often requested with a sunburst top finish, and the wide range of wood options, neck widths, and string scales allow the CJ to be many different guitars to a wide variety of players.

Collings 002H

German Spruce

The Collings 002H is made in the original 12-fret configuration, a guitar shape that was first designed around the time of the Civil War. Its dimensions are similar to a typical classical guitar, with a slotted headstock and small pyramid bridge. The comfortable size and timeless appearance of the Collings 00 is matched by the ease of playing a wide neck and shorter stringscale affords. The tone is typically balanced and precise, and we've seen it adopted for a wide range of playing styles from simple vocal accompaniment to ragtime solos. When you want the durability of a modern guitar but one that appears rooted in an earlier, simpler time, the 00 is a versatile choice.

Collings OM2H

German Spruce

'OM' stands for "Orchestra Model," but 80 years after this body shape was first designed it has become the most popular 14-fret model with fingerstyle guitar soloists who choose to play on steel strings. Yet flatpickers also find it appealing, and when the graceful cutaway is added these OMs are often used by lead players who routinely explore all 20 frets much as they would on an electric guitar. The compact shape makes the Collings OM equally easy to handle onstage or when sitting on the couch, and this one has the Deep-Body option for a deeper bass with projection, and still has an immediate response.

The compact shape makes the Collings OM equally easy to handle onstage or when sitting on the couch, and the relatively shallow body (barely over 4 inches deep) results in balanced tone and an immediate response.

Collings Guitars I35LC

Tobacco Sunburst

The I35 LC is the result of a custom laminated construction technique that Bill Collings and his R&D team developed in pursuit of the best tonal qualities of vintage semi-hollow guitar design. When crafting instruments designed to be used electrically at higher volumes, the resonant qualities of a guitar need a high degree of focus to achieve some of the classic semi-hollow guitar tones. The I35 LC is the first of a line of laminate instruments designed to respond acoustically in perfect harmony with their electronics. Custom crafted in house for each guitar, the Collings laminate line has provided another unique way for Collings to voice the instruments for superior response and tone. The I35 LC features a custom laminate maple top, sides and back and an all mahogany neck.

Collings Guitars LT Mastery

Butterscotch Blonde on an Ash Body

he 360 LT M uses the offset body shape.

Their custom alnico pole piece soapbar P90s provide the husky tone we had envisioned, but with the perfect amount of punch and clarity to enhance its vast stylistic abilities.
